bed edging

Bed Edging is a 4” trench with a 90 degree angle cut on the turf side of the trench.  JT Services Lawn Care, LLC quotes bed edging for the existing size of the beds.   If you wish to have the beds enlarged, that is not Bed Edging that is extending or enlarging the beds.  According to the location and environment, edging is done by a mechanical edging machine or by shovel.

Excess dirt and debris is removed and taken away for smooth, even, mulch installation unless otherwise agreed upon.  We will transport this dirt/edges to an area of your property if you wish, but if additional handling  is required, (raking, leveling) there will be an additional charge for that service.  The bed is then smoothed out by rake to prep for mulch.

Beds with large tree roots may not allow us to dig a 4” bed edge.  If the tree roots are thick or large in the area of the bed edge, we can damage the tree by cutting through these roots.  We will dig the bed edge to these roots without cutting through them.

Please let us know about shallow cables, invisible dog fences, irrigation systems and landscape lighting wires by flagging them so that we can avoid them.    We repair dog fences, outdoor lighting and irrigation systems.  Your cable & phone lines should be deep enough at 6+ inches, but if you have any concern about cables and utility wires, please contact OUPS at 800-362-2764.  OUPS is the “call before you dig” organization that will mark your utilities to prevent cut wires.  They require a 48 hour window to mark your property.

Call for your clean bed edges.
